Hi, can anyone advise me. My daughter is 21 years old and has had PCOS (the syndrome) since she was 13. She has had ovarian cysts removed, and after surgery was informed that both her ovaries were polycystic. She has always had heavy periods and these were regulated to some extent by taking the Pill. She was put on the Pill at 14. Lately she has had very heavy periods, she is still on the same Pill. She also has a lot of pain with the periods. She went to her GP the other day who mentioned she might have endometriosis as well. He has referred her to a Consultant for his advice, and also booked her in for scans. She is terrified if she has endometriosis she will be infertile, her dearest wish is to eventually have babies. Has anyone in the group got both conditions, what are the chances my daughter may be infertile?! Any comments welcome. Thanks so much. Libby

Hi Libby, thanks 4 ur email and ur concerns about this. What u should do or should I say ur daughter do is talk 2 ur gyno and get the pill change cos the 1 shes on isnt doing its job properly, there r 2 reasons 4 her having heavy periods 1st is the pill shes on has 2 be changed cos her body is changing and the pill cant cope 2nd yes it could be endometriosis, and if she does have that YES she can still have a baby but its like PCOS it will be very hard 2 have 1 naturally and also if she does have endometriosis after she has a child she wont have it as bad, I have a few friends who suffer from endometriosis and after having a child it wasnt as bad. But pls have a good long talk 2 with the gyno so they can change her pill it will make a difrence and be persistant about it cos they might not want 2 change it but u and ur daughter knw more about her body then they gyno I hope this has help, if u have anymore questions pls feel free 2 ask Love Rian
