Chiropractor Dr. Cynthia Boccara has the following recommendations to avoid this costly and painful ailment: • Position your computer monitor and keyboard directly in front of you. Make sure your monitor is at eye level. • Plant your feet firmly on the floor. • Hold your arms at a 90-degree angle so that your wrists are not bending forward or backwards. • Sit up straight and do not slouch. • Stretch and take frequent breaks. • Do not use a wrist rest when typing as it will add pressure on your wrists. Use the wrist rest only to rest in between typing.
